LIFE GOES ON

Last year, my company, with the help of Walter Chelliah, won three international awards and was recognized as a leader in wedding videography. Walter, who had worked under me for a couple of years, recently gave me some nice recognition while being interviewed by Event DV Magazine.
In the article Studio Time: Definitively Different By Carly Mulliken - Posted Apr 27, 2006. it reads;
After a year of working for that first company, luck led Chelliah to cross paths with David Bonner. Chelliah gives Bonner the credit for inspiring him to create the style of wedding videos for which he has become known. "David showed me some crazy, amazing stuff that he would get people to do at weddings," he says. "Before I had met Dave, the company I was working for had me follow a shot list and just do cookie cutter-type weddings where there wasn't a lot of room for being creative and doing your own thing. He opened my eyes to what is possible with wedding videos and made me think of wedding videography in a new light."
Thanks Walter, I appreciate that.

I had the wonderful opportunity to watch Walters skills grow and felt very proud of his accomplishments. I may of started of as a mentor and a boss, but in a short amount of time, I had become his friend and encouraged him to leave the shelter of DMB VIDEO and make his own mark. In the last year, he managed to get his company off the ground and launched Definitive Projx. His website is www.definitiveprojx.com and focuses on a music driven style of videography.

While the Definitive Projx approach to wedding videos may appeal to some, others may be looking for something else. Edmonton is full of talented videographers such as Mark from www.markitcreations.com and Tim over at www.crushpictures.com. Both companies I highly recommend. Its great that a market as small and tight as Edmonton has room for so many creative and diverse styles. You’re bound to find the one that’s right for you and not be disappointed.

Walter, good luck with your new ventures!
